I use photography as a starting point to capture a unique moment from something seemingly ordinary, conveying the atmosphere of that moment and those spaces both in the picture and in the graphics.
The mixture of my affinities, life callings and experiences has awakened various interests in me and in my work, which create an unusual environment for experimentation and reflection.
In the current cycle of works, I am dealing with the creations of man, but also with nature and perhaps its most complex factors, fungi and microorganisms, which have the possibility of creation and survival even in the most difficult conditions. The fragmented parts of the ruined wall and old newspapers remind me of abandoned spaces, decaying infrastructure and the erosion of cultural and social values. While the layers of lime and plaster are associated with man and his inner being, old newspapers mark the passage of time and act as a reminder of the stories and lives that once occupied these now abandoned areas.
Color allows me to convey emotions and moods, while muted tones and earthy shades evoke a sense of melancholy, I try to bring life to the picture with bright colors. The play of light and shadow further emphasizes the mixing of transience and vitality.
Through my paintings, I strive to reawaken the senses of the viewer, allowing them to immerse themselves in the stunning beauty of these forgotten spaces. I aim to reconnect with the memories and emotions associated with a time that is now past, encouraging reflection on the fleeting nature of our lives and the remnants we leave behind.
